In year 6 we have been developing confidence in our own ability and taking pride in our work. To help develop our self-esteem we are now doing a weekly show and tell. Any child who is proud of something they have done that week can share it with others. Their friends can either give a compliment or ask a question. It does not have to be a piece of written work but could be a personal achievement – reciting tables, celebrating good effort with behaviour …

Harriet was proud of her maths as she achieved her best score yet 33/36
Isabella was proud of the quantity of her work and overall presentation in science
Jake was proud of his presentation about Charles Darwin’s voyage in Science
Liam was proud of his behaviour and how hard he has tried to follow all school rules.
Emily was proud of the quality of her writing in science.
Adam was proud of his work in RE about ordination.
Neave was proud of her RE where she retold John the Baptist’s experience of baptising Jesus.
Finley was proud of his handwriting in science when creating pieces about round animals for our display.
Indie was proud her work had made it onto the wall.
Noah was proud of his postcard he made in geography.
Mya was proud of her postcard she made in geography because she could remember facts about biomes and climates.
Olivia was proud of her retell in RE about John’s experience baptising Jesus.
Sophie was proud of her work in maths on mixed numbers because she had to work hard but finally got it!
