Good morning to you all in Year 4,
So how did you get on with yesterday’s tasks? Okay I hope!
So do we all now remember how to round numbers up and down? Hopefully you found the BBC Bite size video useful. I’m setting some more of this today (rounding to nearest 1000).
KEEPING ACTIVE
Are you tuning into Joe Wicks’ daily PE lesson on YouTube at 9.00am? Remember you can also use BBC Super Movers at home. This link is for Rounding Numbers

Also try inverted commas with Mr Smith or Noun Phrases
They will help you with your story writing this week.
MATHS
I’m posting your two activity sheets here and in Google Classroom. Hoping that you can all access this and then turn it in for us to look at it.
Keep practising your times tables using Times Table Me, TT Rock Stars or Squeebles.
READING
Reading Plus online
Please keep up with your reading. Tune into David Walliams or Adam Bushnell stories online
WRITING
Are you still writing regularly in your Journal? It will be an amazing thing to look back at in the months and years to come!
Write the next part of the Holy Week story in your book.
I think the next few pages are about Judas betraying Jesus and Jesus’ last supper. There are three slides you can read to help you today. It’s the same instruction given yesterday.
Go to the School Home Page and click on Topmarks. It’s the blue one in the bottom corner. Then click All about Easter. Scroll down until you find Easter Story. Click on this and read the next few pages. Like yesterday your challenge is to retell the story but including some direct speech. Imagine what Judas might have said? What about the chief priests and elders? Then of course write the special words that Jesus said at his last meal with his friends. What conversations might there have been?
Remember new speaker, new line and the other Y4 skills especially paragraphs and good punctuation throughout!
Let me know how you get on with today’s tasks. I’d love to hear what else you’ve been up to?
Take care
Mrs Fitzpatrick
