Well-being Festival

This afternoon, 8 children from yr2-5 took part in a Well-being Festival at the Glebe Centre. They rotated around 4 different activities, exploring ways that can help to improve our mental health and well-being.

First, the children started with team building exercises. They worked together to get the ball in certain colours on the parachute followed by the ‘drainpipe challenge’ where they quickly needed to moved to get the ball rolling and into the bucket.

After, the children put on their dancing shoes for the silent disco. They followed some familiar dances from Just Dance to get their hearts pumping and their bodies moving.

The children moved around to their third station where they needed to decision their own plant pot before planting a sunflower to take home.

Finally, the children had a chance to relax, focus on their breathing and take some time out with themselves by doing some mindful stretching. The whole afternoon left us feeling relaxed and revitalised and we can’t wait to have the well-being festival brought into school.
