Wednesday 29th April

English – Please can you watch Adam’s Storytelling Day 12 if you didn’t yesterday where he makes up a story of how the tortoise got his shell. I’d also like you to to watch the short animation of How The Camel Got His Hump. Notice some of the things that are similar and fill in the chart on the Google Doc then start to think of some ideas of your own.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mjyD_etIz4

Maths – Please follow the next White Rose Lesson. Lesson 3 which is about adding decimals with different numbers of decimal places. Remember that if you just line up your decimal points in columns, it makes it very easy!  https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

If you are in Mr Graham’s maths class, please can you go to the BBC website and complete the activities there about adding and subtracting  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z7psf4j

History – yesterday I sent you a video about the World’s Civilisations. In the Americas, the only major civilisation was the Maya. You can learn a little bit about who they were with the BBC clip below then look at the presentation on our Google Classroom to find out about where they lived. I can’t add the file here so you will need to log in. Can you add the Central American countries and some Mayan cities to the map?
