We all have a name

Reception Class have been trying really hard to learn the names of all of their friends in their new class. We talked about how important it is to have a name and how sad we would feel if we didn’t have a name. This week a new girl joined class who didn’t have a name. We passed around our fox and gave some suggestions for names. Mrs Cook then closed her eyes and pointed to three of the names. We then voted to see what name we thought she would like. We used blocks to show which name we wanted. We then helped Mrs Groark to count the blocks on each name. The name Lila had the most blocks so our new friend is called Lila. We enjoyed pulling names out of a bag and then matching the name to the correct person. We also rolled a ball to our new friends shouting their name. We have learnt lots of new names this week.
