Thursday 30th April

Thursday 30th April
Morning Year 2,

I have absolutely loved looking all all of your Angel of the North artwork the past few days! They’re amazing!

Today in maths we will continue with White Rose and will be doing some word problems involving measuring. (Summer week 2, Lesson 4 – Problem solving) https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/

For English today can you access BBC Bitesize ( we will be looking at yesterday’s task)  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zrvfy9q Can you please watch the video about minibeasts and then have a try at activity 2 and write a minibeast diary. Maybe you could do more research about the minibeasts that you choose. Don’t forget your conjunctions.

I would also like you to continue with your art work.
Task: Can you find a picture of ‘The Angel of the North?’ How many different ways can you recreate it? You could;

*Sketch it using a black fine liner or a pencil . Remember to look carefully at the lines in the picture
*Sculpt it from playdoh, modelling clay, or salt dough.
*Make it from lego or other construction materials.
*Make it from pipe cleaners if you have any in your craft materials.
*Paint it.
*Chalk it on a larger scale outside
*Collage it
*Make your own model using junk from your recycling box.
*Make a human sculpture like we did in the school hall with your family.

I can’t wait to see how creative you’re all going to be! Don’t forget to share your creations with me either on the google classroom or by email at k.wilkinson@stcuthbertsprimary.com

Take care
