Thursday 26th March

Hi everyone – I’m going to give you a choice today. For learning log it was split. Something about keeping safe during the time we are isolated OR something about keeping active while we are isolated. You’re all pretty persuasive by now – after looking at those speeches.
You could do some writing to persuade people to do one of these things. You could make an amazing poster either with craft / drawing materials or using Purple Mash. I’ve left lots of links for you on Purple Mash or you could try one of the things below.
You could make a video using a tablet or phone – I know iPads and iPhones have iMovie on them that you can edit with. In fact iMovie have some amazing film trailer things remember from when we did The Highwayman? I’m sure android tablets will as well although I don’t know how to use them. You could even become the next Joe Wicks – make a 10 minute workout for your friends and record it! Remember to rehearse first though and plan carefully what you’re going to say.
You could write an imaginary interview with someone about one of these topics and record it like a radio show.
Make the most of having some time to really use multimedia to show off your persuasive style.
Don’t forget – to persuade, you should talk about what WE have to do not what YOU have to do. You should use modal verbs carefully. You should use triples – repeating a phrase 3 times or using 3 adjectives.

For your maths, could you spend a little time on TT Rockstars – I am setting up a BATTTTTTTLLLLEEEEE!! Loser of the battle (girls vs boys) have to do an extra chore around the house and send us a photo! And I have set you two maths tasks on Purple Mash as well. There are also some Flashback 4 tasks underneath if you have a spare 10 minutes – don’t forget to tell the time!

Hope you all saw my Joe Wicks workout picture this morning – Mr Parlett and Nina were going for it!! I will be in school tomorrow so may see some of you there.
