Author Visit

Y4 Theatre Trip

Last week, Year 4 visited the Sunderland Empire theatre to see The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. They have been reading the book and exploring The Chronicles of Narnia in their English lessons this term. The performance was amazing and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Blessing of our Bambinellis

On the Third Sunday of Advent, the children of Rome are encouraged to bring the baby Jesus (Bambinelli) from each of their Nativity sets to St. Peter’s Square. Following the Sunday Angelus address, the Pope blesses the figurines. This is known as Bambinelli Sunday. Y5 Science – Earth and Beyond!

Y5 have been learning about Earth and Space. This term, Y2 have been designing and making ferris wheels. They used cardboard to make the frame and the wheel and egg boxes to make the pods. Mini Vinnie’s Advent Appeal

As you may have seen recently, many refugees have been uprooted and relocated from Afghanistan to the North East of England. The SVP society at St Cuthbert’s House are collecting donations for these families.
