Fun Friday

It’s Friday the end of another week so let’s have a fun day. Playing with dominoes is a great way to help you with your numbers. I’ve included a ladybird set to print off or you might already have some at home.Lots of you used to make lovely models in our creative area. A challenge is to create your own ladybird I’ve included a picture of some examples. You could then hide it for others to find. I’ve included a puzzle sheet for you to find the missing ladybird.
Thank you for all of your lovely photographs and videos it’s so good to see you all looking happy and having fun learning at home. I hope you are all working as hard for your grown ups as you did in school. Don’t forget to send me your picture or message for your friends by Thursday please and spread the message to others if you can.
Have a fun Friday and a restful weekend. xxxxFriday’s tasks

Phonics

Watch YouTube for your daily phonics work. Today the sounds are:

Set 1 – f
Set 2 – igh
Set 3 – ire

Lots of you making up some fun games to help with your phonics.I liked this idea which one of your friends did this week. Write out some words or sounds you are learning on paper. Hang your sounds or words onto your washing line. Ask a grown up to shout the word or sound and use a water pistol to shoot the word. If you don’t have a water pistol you could run to the line and jump and touch the correct word.

Literacy If you haven’t already done this write your message to your friend. If you have, write a message or draw a picture to a family member to make them smile. You might want to thank them for helping you to learn. You could hide it under their pillow so they get a nice surprise when they find it.
Maths We use White Rose Maths in school. Go to home learning page Week 2 lesson 5

Today we are looking at dots. You are also given the challenge of making a dice. This will come in useful in future number games so keep it safe.

We are going to think about sharing today so you will need 3 or 4 ladybird shapes and lots of spots. The rule of the game is – the ladybirds all have to have the same number of spots so they can fly away.

–      Can you share 10 spots equally between 2 ladybirds?

–      Can you share 9 spots equally between 3 ladybirds?

–      Can you make up more problems?
