This week, the Eco Council successfully reintroduced blue recycling bins throughout the school, promoting better waste management and sustainability. An engaging assembly was held featuring Tidy Ted and the Durham Civic Pride team, which helped raise awareness about environmental responsibilities.
Additionally, Year 5 participated in a lesson on environmental crime, further enhancing their understanding of littering and fly-tipping within our community.
The response from the students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing enthusiasm for recycling and looking after our environment. We’re already seeing results, as paper recycling has resumed effectively in the school.
