St. Cuthbert's Primary School Seaham
Another successful careers carousel this afternoon. It was another fantastic opportunity for our children to explore a different range of professions.
We would like to thank our volunteers for their time today:
Sophie, who is a paediatric nurse at Sunderland Hospital, who talked about common reasons children come to A&E and the children had fun role playing injuries and administering first aid.
Fiona who works as a graphic designer for Stagecoach buses. She shared the types of art and design work she has done previously and helped us to design our own buses.
Stephanie who is a local hairdresser who brought lots of equipment needed to do her job. She explained her education and training and the children had great fun having their hair done or doing the hair of others and the model head.
Finally, we had Hannah who is the proud owner of the Flowerchild Florist who is also an ex-pupil of St.Cuthbert’s. She brought some lovely arrangements in and we learnt lots about the different flowers and the skills needed not only to run our own business but also to be a florsit.
