Year 5 Summarising Skills

Year 5 Summarising Skills

Our next history focus in Year 5 is ‘Changes in Britain after 1750’, especially changes in Seaham. Our first lesson used our summarising skills, which we practise in English lessons. Each group was given an important change that happened during the Industrial Revolution and we had to create a mime that summarised the important pieces of information for our friends in class to guess. These changes were: Population, Agriculture, Factories, Power, Transport and Empire.   Can you guess which ones we are miming?  Acting out the key changes helped us understand and remember so we were then more confident when writing short summaries.
