It was great to see so many of you making such lovely decorations for your VE celebrations. Today we are going to look at clues from the old photograph that can tell us something about the past. We are also going to continue to prepare for our Friday celebration.
Children used to love to carry out hunts so for your maths work you have one to do today. Happy hunting.
Sandwiches are eaten at tea parties so you are going to design your own. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of sandwich you are going to make.
Have fun xxx

Literacy | As part of your celebration on Friday you might decide to have a tea party. At tea parties you have sandwiches. Today the task is to design your own sandwich. Can you write a list of ingredients you might need for your sandwich?
As an added challenge can you find out where the different ingredients come from? |
Maths | In the past children used to amuse themselves with things they have around them. Today you have a hunt to do around your house which is linked to number, shapes and sizes. Happy hunting.

Other areas of learning | Look at the picture of the children enjoying VE celebrations. Think about how your party might be different from theirs. Can you spot…
