For English day we are going to focus on some simple sentence writing, before you start discuss with your adult which three things are needed when you form your sentence?

(Capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.)

Follow the link below and complete activities 1, 2 and 3.

There is an opportunity to write some really creative sentences here with some really exciting verbs. I can’t wait to read them!

Maths

Here is your flash back 4 for today.

Today we are going to begin working on finding a quarter. A quarter is when you separate a number into 4 equal groups. A handy tip when finding a quarter is to half a number and then half it again. For example when finding a quarter of 8 we half it to become 4 and then half it again to become 2, so a quarter of 8 Is two. Remember to use objects you have in your house as counters or you can even draw your counters on some paper.

Science

Today we are going to continue with our plants topic. Do some research with your adult and find out what things are needed for healthy plant growth?

(Water, sunlight and nutrients)

Refer back to your work yesterday and discuss what part of your plant is needed to absorb these essential things. (Roots absorb water and nutrients, and the leaves act like solar panels to absorb sunlight)

Have a great day everyone and stay safe!
