Tuesday 24th March

Hello everyone.  Hope that you are all well. You may have heard that Jo Wicks is doing a live PE lesson every morning at 9am. Here is the link below as this will be a great way to start your day!

A big thank you to those children that have sent me some photographs of you working hard and getting crafty. I have loved seeing your lovely smiley faces and hopefully it won’t be too long before we are all together again.

Maths

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/   Use this link and work on lesson 2  recognising half. If you would like to get practical ask your grown up to cut you out some shapes. Can you cut them in half so that you have two equal pieces?  You can also have a look at the activity to go with the little video.

English

What is a verb – A verb is an action (doing) word.

Yesterday you recapped nouns and adjectives. Today I would like you to think about verbs. Make a poster with as many verbs you can think of e.g. running, jumping, hopping, cooking etc Perhaps you could put some of these into a sentence.

Finally, have some fun with some of your toys and activities you don’t often have time to play with at home! I am even going to let Samuel get the playdough out!!

Missing your smiley, happy little faces. Keep them photographs coming. Sending you all lots of love,

Mrs. Wilkinson
